Properties of Fluorine-Containing Polymer Nano-TiO2 Com posite Coating

Transparent nano-TiO_2 composite fluorine-containing pol ymer composite coating was prepared through copolymerization of 2- ( N- methyl- perfluorooctane- sulfo- amido) ethylacrylate ( MP SAEA) , methylmethacrylate (MM A) and methyl - acryloxy - pro pyl-trimethyloxysilane (MPTMS) and hydrolysis of titanium tet rabutoxide ( TBOT ) . Fluorine - containing nanocomposite was characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis and TEM. A smooth and homo geneous nanocomposite film was successfully formed on glass, and its morphology, surface composition and properties were de scribed by using AFM, XPS, and contact angle tester. The resuits show that the formation of TiO_2 in fluorine - containing poly mer can change the surface chemical properties and morphology of coating. The coating exhibit excellent hydrophobicity with about 125?of water contact angle for the synergic effect between TiO_2 nanoparticles and fluorine - containing group on the surface of coating.
