A Review:Solid-state Reaction During Mechanical Alloying

The solid-state reaction driven by mechanical alloying, or mechanochemical reaction, is used to make carbides, intermetallic compounds, composites and nano-sized particles. The mechanochemical reaction is a nonequilibrium reaction at room temperature. The products may be produced via nucleation and gradual growth or by selfsustained reaction.
