Behavior and Mechanism of Thermal Shock Resistance in Multiphase Ceramics

The energy dissipation mechanism of thermal shock-resistance for multiphase ceramics with spontaneous mlcrocracks was analysed in qualitative terms , when brittle materials with spontaneous microcracks undergo a thermal shock cycle history, the mam energy dissipation mechamism of thermal shock-resistance is based on the actions of the formation and elimination of mlcrocracks as well as the development and disappearence of the residual thermal stress fields in brittle materials
