Application and Development of High-Intensity Ultrasonic in Solidification Process of Metals

In this paper,the principle and characters of ultrasonic are briefly introduced.The research on the effect of high-intensity ultrasonic on solidification process of metals and its application is reviewed.It is pointed out that high-intensity ultrasonic treatment is an effective way to improve solidification structure and mechanical properties of metals.The prospect for grain fining with ultrasonic in solidification process in the 21st century is forecast.
