Research on Perovskite-type Manganese Oxides as Magnetic Refrigerant Material

The basic principle of magnetocaloric effect (MCE)and the crystal structure of perovskite-type manganese oxides are briefly described in this paper. The magnetic entropy changes of perovskite-type manganese oxides whose A or B site ions are substituted with various ions and in various proportions are showed and the mechanism of the MCE is briefly discussed.
