Application of Processing Maps in Hot Working of Titanium Alloy

This paper briefly introduces the application of processing map in hot working of titanium al-loy.The basic principle and characteristics of processing maps of several typical α,α+β and β titanium alloys are pre-sented,and the application of processing map in the study of the effects of elements and initial microstructures on hotworking characteristic of titanium alloy is also presented.The optimum processing conditions of these typical α,α+βand β titanium alloys and the general characteristics of processing map of titanium alloy are given.
