Thermosensitive Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) and Its Application

As Poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) not only has hydrophilic acylamino, but also has hydrophobic isopropyl, it shows favorable thermo sensitivity. It is widely used as a new kind of intelligent material and its intelligence and memory effect become the hot spots in international macromolecule field. The paper reviews the thermosensitive mechanism, the classification and characteristic of synthesis of poly (N-isopropylacrylamide), its applications in drug delivery, enzyme immobilization, material separation, immunoanalysis and biological macromolecule material in medicine. The study directions for future are also pointed out.
