Preparation and Hydrogen Storage Properties of Mg-Ni Based Hydrogen Storage Alloy

Mg-Ni hydrogen storage alloy is synthesized by three-step technics,which grinding and pressing magnesium first,then vapor sinter.The synthesis temperature,pressure and heat preservation time have great impact on the composite of the product.In this paper,the reaction mechanism of Mg-Ni combustion synthesis is ana- lyzed.Hydrogen storage capacity of combustion sample is tested by DTA-TG,the result indicates the obtained alloys can desorb 2.6wt% hydrogen.
