Research Progress of Coaxial Nanocable

Coaxial nanocable is a novel of one-dimensional nanomaterials, which has tempting application prospects in high-tech field. In this paper, achievements of coaxial nanocable in recent years are summarized, and the preparation methods and recent researches of coaxial nanocable are also generally reviewed. According to the methods, it can be divided into five kinds: templates method, carbothermal reduction and evaporation-agglomeration method, sol-gel method, laser ablation method, and chemical vapor deposition method. In the meantime the development trend and application prospects of coaxial nanocable are described.
