The Effects of Alloy-elements on the Oxidation of Magnesium Alloys

The effects of alloy-elements on the oxidation of magnesium alloys are summarized. The influence of Ca, Be and rare earth on the oxidation of magnesium alloys is introduced and the relevant mechanism is discussed. The existent problem and potential development tendencies about the effects alloying of elements on the oxidation of magnesium alloys are proposed.
