Development of the Research on Magnetic Magnetite Nanoparticals

Nano magnetite is a kind of magnetic materials of many functions,and has wide applications in such fields as magnetic recording,ferrofluids,catalysis,medicine and pigment etc.In this paper,many different chemical methods for preparing magnetite nanoparticles and their newest development are reviewed,including co-precipitation method,microemulsion method,sol-gel method,hydrothermal method,solvothermal method and so on.The advanta- ges and disadvantages of these methods are analyzed and compared.The application of magnetic magnetite nanopartieles is introduced simply.Finally,its further prospects are presented to control the particles'shape and magnetic proper- ties.
