Discussion on Dissipative Structure Formed During Metal Hot Deformation

In this investigation,the fundaental principlres of nonequilibrium thermodynamics and dissipative structure are presented,and the characteristics of metal during hot deformation and conditions under which dissipative sructures are formed in metal are analyzed,and some examples of dissipative structure are listed.Based on combinaion of extremum principles of irreversible thermodynamics,the second law of thermodynamics and Lyapounov function sta- bility theory,the technique for determining the external thermomechanical parameters for formation of dissipative structure in metal during hot deformation is pointed out,which is of important value to realize the optimization of the hot deformation process by controlling and selecting dissipatiove structures that are beneficial to microstructures and properties and avoiding the dissipative structures that are deleterious to microstructures and properites.
