Property of Biosensor for Carbon Nanotubes and DNA and Detection of Hydroquinone

The carboxyl modified multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWNTs) and NH_2-DNA are assembled on Pt electrode surface via carboxyl-amine coupling,respectively,and the MWNTs-DNA biosensor is prepared.The morphology and structure of the biosensor are detected by field emission electron microscopy(FEG-SEM) and fourier transform infrared(FTIR).Cyclic voltammetry is used to detect the electrochemical behavior of MWNTs-DNA biosensor, and Fe(CN)_6~(4-)/Fe(CN)_6~(3-) is selected as indicator for their cyclic voltammetric responses,indicating the prepared MWNTs-DNA biosensor with good stability and quasi-reversibility.The MWNTs-DNA biosensor is used to detect hydroquinones by cylic voltammetry and ultraviolet-visble spectrophotometry.This result signifies that the electrostatic attraction andⅡ-Ⅱbanding between hydroquinones and DNA are the major modes for the interaction in hybridization.
