Application of Industrial Sludge of Aluminum Factory in Producing Cordierite

Using the industrial sludge of aluminum factory to synthesize cordierite is a way for comprehensive deposal and reusing the waste.Compared with the traditional synthetic method,this way has more merits,such as the raw material technical innovation,low cost,extremely remarkable economic efficiency and social benefit.In this paper the chemical composition of the industrial sludge of aluminum factory and the possibility of synthesizing cordierite are analyzed,and the technology and the advantages of producing cordierite by the industrial sludge of aluminum factory are presented.The factors affecting the performance of cordierite are analyzed,and the application prospects and the process of industrialization are reviewed.
