Microstructure of AZ31 magnesium alloy is studied under different annealing techniques. It is found that microstructure change of the lateral section and the longitudinal section are primarily consistent during heat treatment at 200~350℃for 30~120min.When annealing at 300℃×120min,the grain sizes all achieve the least values, the lateral section's is 11.51μm,the longitudinal section's is 12.85μm.Meanwhile,the influence of annealing temperature and time on the grain growth are also analyzed.
