Development and Application of Carbon/Silicon Carbide Ceramic Matrix Composite

Carbon/silicon carbide(C/SiC) ceramic matrix composite is one of the important thermo-structure materials.The existing techniques are reviewed for the preparation of the C/SiC ceramic matrix composite as well as recent applications on aerospace,optical system,space technique,vehicle(brake sheet,valve),and energy technique.In addition,some technologies to prepare a ceramic matrix composite with nano-particles of carbon(Cp) and submicron-sized particles of silicon carbide for the use in glass industry are proposed,extending the applications of Cp/SiC composite.
