Study Reality and Development Prospect of Lead-based Nuclear Shielding Material

The general requirements of nuclear shielding material are described.The present commonly used shielding material type,the handling characteristics as well as the research present situation are summarized.There are three primary directions in the development of lead-based nuclear shielding materials: mechanical-functional integrative shielding material;nano-composite lead,and the function of optimal design based on genetic algorithms in designing new-style shielding materials.Simultaneously the lead-based nuclear shielding material prospects for development is forecast.
