Electrochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Polyaniline/Polytetrafluoroethylene Conductive Composite Films

The synthesis of conductive polyaniline(PANI) co-doped by 5-sulfosalicylic acid(SSA) and sulfuric acid(H2SO4) were achieved using electrochemical method in polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) supporting film,and the optimum condition of process was confirmed by orthogonal design.The influences of deposited current density,depo-sited time of silver(Ag) and tensile on the conductivity of composite films were also studied.The composite films were characterized by Raman spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results show that the conductivity of PANI-PTFE composite film is 36.9S/cm synthesised under optimum condition.Deposited Ag by 20mA/cm2 current density for 4 minutes into prior film sequentially,the conductivity of film increases to 5379S/cm significantly.Through appropriate tension for PANI-PTFE and PANI-PTFE-Ag composite films,the conductivity can be enhanced.Raman spectroscopy show that PANI,Ag and PTFE compound well.The composite films have crystallinity to some extent,and can be improved after tensile.PANI is small pellet which has a uniform diameter about 200nm,Ag is dentrites covered on or inlaid among the grains of PANI to forming three-dimensional conductive network.
