Application and Development Tendency of the High-entropy Alloys in High-speed Machining Tools

The recent development of cutter materials for high speed machining is reviewed.The properties and organizational characteristics of high-entropy alloys and their nitride coatings are discussed,as well as coating preparation methods including chemical vapor deposition,physical vapor deposition,magnetron sputtering,laser cladding and thermal spraying.The future researches of coated cutting tools of high-entropy alloys are suggested.
