Effect of the Ar-N_2 Mixture Ratios on Temperature of the Plasma Jet and Properties of the Coating

The plasma spraying experiments were carried out using various argon-nitrogen volume mixture ratios,and the corresponding coatings were obtained.The plasma jet configuration and temperature field were collected by CCD,microstructure,hardness of the coating were observed or measured by SEM or Vickers hardness tester.The effect of the different Ar-N_2 mixture ratio on the plasma jet configuration,microstructure and hardness of the coatings were investigated.
