Effect of Corrosion Resistance on IF Steel Using Ultrasonic Electrolytic Passivation

The corrosion study methods,which consisted electrochemistry method,contant temperature and humidity experiment,and alternating humidity and temperature experiment,were carried out to investigate the effect of corrosion and electrochemical behavior on Interstitial Free Sheet(IF) steel using ultrasonic electrolytic passivation.It was shown that the corrosion resistance of electrolytic passivation IF steel was increased when using lower frequency ultrasonic,while the higher frequency ultrasonis can reduce the corrosion resistance of electrolytic passivation IF steel.The main effect factors of ultrasonic for the electrolytic passivation IF steel were related to the action of ultrasonic cavitation,elution and elevated-temperature.
