Development of Residual Stress of Composite Laminate with Aluminum Plate During Cure Process

The study of residual stress evolution for composite laminated was conducted.Effective temperature difference and liner expansion coefficient were employed to theoretically explain the development of residual stress caused by temperature of the laminate during curing process.Advanced optical fiber technique was used to real-time monitor temperature and residual stress of the laminate.The fiber Bragg gratings(FBG) were embedded in the composite material and the interface between composite material and aluminum plate,which was applied to monitor the development of residual strain during whole curing process.And that the direction of final deformation observed in the test was consistent with that of theoretically analysis.
