Researches on Extrusion,Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of New Mg-Zn-Mn Alloy

It was found that the new Mg-Zn-Mn wrought magnesium alloy could be extruded at 310℃ while complete dynamic recrystallization took place during extruding.Solution and aging treatment,especially 2-step aging,can significantly increase the strength of the alloy which can achieve the strength of the high strength ZK60 wrought magnesium alloy.
