Study on Electrolysis Process for Superfine Nickel Powders

The effect of such parameters as temperature, concentration of Ni2+ and Cl-, pH,cathodic current density ic of electrolysis process for superfine nickel powders on cathodic current efficiency is studied by cyclic electrolysis process. Nickel powders of 1.5μm in diameter by average can be steadily obtained with NiCl2 and NH4Cl, as electrolyte and nickel and stainless steel as anode and cathode respectively, at a temperature of 65℃ and cathodic current density of 2.5A/cm2, cathodic current efficiency of 65%.
