Three key factors in application of dynamic simulation in auto panel stamping area, such as database for success try out experience, powerful optimization algorithm and effective equivalent drawbead model, are proposed. Three application examples, quick evaluation of stamping formability, determination of reasonable auto sheet, and optimization of drawbead design are listed. This paper is aimed to help the automotive industry in a better usage of the advanced CAE tool.
