Research on precision plastic forming technology of rotor s with twist radial blades

An experimental die set with combined female die for isothermal fully enclosed die forging was designed,and the effect of die shape,billet shape and forming force on law of metal deformation and flow was studied by using the simulation experiments.The results show that the rotors with twist blades can be precisely forged by the combined technology of fully enclosed die forging and isothermal forming.The drawing of the forging can be resolved by the combined female die.The formability of thin and long alu-minium-alloy blades can be greatly improved with isothermal forming.By using the cone punch and flow divided forming method,the forging force can be effectively decreased and the ability for billet to fill the die cavity can be increased.In addition,the shape and dimension of the blades of the rotor forging are close to them of the finished products.The flow line follows the contour of the forging.Therefore,the strength of the forgings can be effectively improved.
