The Properties of Coating Formed by Microplasma Oxidation on Magnesium Alloy

The morphology and phase composition of coating formed by microplasma oxidation on magnesium alloy were studied by X-ray diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscope. The results show that microplasma oxidation technique can obtain ceramic coating on the surface of microplasma oxidation in NaAlO 2 electroly for MB15 magnesium alloy contains MgO and MgAl 2O 4 phases. The point and line scanning analysis of coating composition also shows that although aluminum element has diffused into internal layer of coating, there is a concentrated area of aluminum in external layer.
