Research and Progress in Magnesium Diboride Superconductor

Magnesium diboride,MgB 2,was observed to boecome superconducting at 39K,which is the highest known transition temperature for a non-copper-oxide bulk material in Journal 2001.It offers the possibility of a new class of low-cost,high-performance superconducting materials for magnets and electronic application.The applications,the studies on MgB 2 superconductor are summarized,some important work on eletrionc structure of MgB-2 superconductor and applications studies,especially superconducting mechanism is introduced.
