Mechanical Characteristic of Simulative Porose Pipeline of Oil and Gas

The locations of little holes simulating pitting corrosion on pipeline surface of X60 steel were confirmed by the random numbers produced in computer to measure elastic modulus, yielding strength and tensile strength of porose material by tension test, and the testing results of elastic modulus and yielding strength were compared with calculated value of theoretical formula, and the theoretical formulae were modified and a calculative formula for tensile strength is gained. The test results showed that the elastic modulus and yielding strength of porose material decreased with increase of its porosity, and the changing trend became slow gradually. The testing results of elastic modulus of porose pipeline with their porosity agreed with those of the theoretical value within less porosity, and testing values of their yielding strength decreased evidently with their porosity but near or equal to the theoretical values. The testing data and their average of tensile strength decreased also evidently with porosity as those of yielding strength, but their varying was apt to decrease within much porosity.
