Application and Development of High Performance Concrete

The development and recent research achievements of high performance concrete in the world are reviewed.Various opinions about the definition of the high performance concrete are discussed.Its excellent characteristics involving working performance,durability and mechanical property are also analyzed.Some ideas and suggestions are proposed after summarizing high performance concrete design.As can be seen from its application examples over the recent three decades,high performance concrete has become one of the most important structural materials in road and bridge construction.
