Liquid Phase Preparation and Property of Snowflake Cobalt Nanopowder

Snowflake cobalt nanopowder was prepared via modified solution reduction route in methyl alcohol.The as-prepared cobalt powder was characterized using TEM,XRD,SAED,VNA(Vector Network Analyzer) and VSM.The results show that the cobalt nanopowder is well crystallized and snowflake shaped.Magnetic coercivity Hc of the as-prepared cobalt snowflake can reach 250.59 Oe at room temperature and has the maximum return loss value of-12.86 db at 2290 MHz.In addition,the catalytic activity of the Co nanopowder on thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate(AP) was studied by DSC,and the DSC result shows that the addition of Co powder decreases the decomposition temperature of AP by 102.6℃,implying an excellent catalytic activity on AP.
