Influence of Sand Rate on Structural Concrete of Haydite Lightweight Aggregate

The workability,compressive strength,modulus of elasticity,early-age shrinkage and longtime drying shrinkage of haydite lightweight aggregate concrete with different sand rate were studied.The results indicate that the slump and expansion degree of concrete decline with the increase of sand rate,while the loss of slump extends.With the improvement of sand rate,the apparent density,compressive strength,modulus of elasticity,early-age shrinkage and long-time drying shrinkage also increase.Shrinkage of lightweight aggregate concrete declines significantly because of the function of internal curing.Therefore,the importance of early-age curing of lightweight concrete declines compared with common concrete. The prewetting time of haydite has obvious implications on early-age shrinkage value of concrete,and the shrinkage value is relatively smaller with longer prewetting time.
