The optimum design for the formula of the surface layer coating of sub-gloss color inkjet printing paper

The influence of the formula and dosage on the performance and print quality of color inkjet printing paper is discussed and an optimum design for the formula of the surface layer of sub-gloss color inkjet printing paper are made on the basis of orthogonal experiment. The results show that gas phase SiO2 pigment mixed with PCC in 55∶45 had a moderate ink receptivity and preferred printing density and brightness and smoothness of the finished paper; the adhesive with PVA as the major one and starch as the complement (35∶5); quaternary ammonium salt must be added as cationic fixing agent for the waterproof quality of the picture.
