On improving paper properties of papermaking with modified corn stalk core and APMP mixed

Paper was made by combination of modified core of corn stalks with poplar wood APMP in a certain proportion.The results showed that pulp brightness has no noticeable change and the physical properties of pulp have been remarkably improved.Colour rever-sion value of pulp was decreased by 21.22%at the content of improved corn stalk core of 30%.The tightness,tensile strength and burst strength of the handsheets were increased by 17.71%,213.62%and 97.94%respectively with the content up to 50%compared with the origi-nal pulp,with the magnitude of tear strength reached to maximum of 54.44%at a content of 40%.In the meantime the folding strength was also remarkably increased.
