Spectrophotometric Determination of Ruthenium in Ti-Ru-Ni Alloy

An Baolan (Northwest Institute for Nonferrous Metal Research, Baoji 721014)  
This paper establishs a spectrophotometric methid for the determination of ruthenium in Ti-Ru-Ni alloy ueing thiourea as colour reagent.The optimum conditions for colour reaction of ruthenium —— thiourea have been studied and selected. In this method Ti and Ni coexisted in the alloy do not interfere with the determination of ruthenium,the recovery of ruthenium is 96 %—102 %,the relative standard deviation is 1.5 %,the determination range for rethenium is 0.01—1.00 %.
