Study on Structures and Electrochemical Properties of the Alloys (La_xCe_(1-x))_(0.9)(PrNd)_(0.1)(NiCoMnAl)_5

The effects of La and Ce contents, and La/Ce ratio on structures and electrochemical properties of the alloys (LaxCe1-x)0. 9 (PrNd)0. 1 (Ni3. 55Co0. 75Mn0.4 Al0. 3) (x = 0. 4 ~ 0. 9) have been investigated. It was found that a axis and volume of cell increase with the x increment, but c axis of cell fluctuates in a small range. The maximum discharge capacity of the alloy increases with increasing La content(x) and reaches the extremum at x=0. 9 (328. 9 mAh/g), but the decay of average capacity increases also, and the cycle stability decreases.
