Synthesis of PbZrO_3 Powder by a Coprecipitation Method

Lead zirconate (PbZrCh, PZ) is a typical ABO3 perovskite with the antiferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition at 500 K. In t his paper the PbZrO3 powder was prepared by coprecipitation in aqueous medium. The washed coprecipitates were calcined to yield the PZ powders. And the formation of PbZrO3 was studied and characterized by thermal analysis and XRD. Well-crystallized pure perovskite phase PZ powders were obtained after the precursor powder calcined at 600℃ for 2 h.
