Synthesis, Characterization and Fluorescence Property of Doped SrAl_2O_4:Eu_x~(2+),Dy_y~(3+) Long Afterglow Phosphors

Twelve kinds of doped SrAl2O4:Eu2+x,Dy3+y(x:y=1:1, x:y=1:2) long afterglow phosphors were synthesized by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method (SHS). The studies show that glow brightness of SrAl2O4:Eu2+0.0125,Dy3+0.0125 is the best. According to the proportion, cations Li+, Be2+ for synthesizing fluorescence material, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+ for synthesizing fluorescence material and self-activated fluorescence material both are separately introduced in the SrAl2O4:Eu2+0.0125, Dy3+0.0125. In total,22 doped SrAl 2 O 4 long afterglow phosphors with 5 series were synthesized by the method. Afterglow brightness of SrAl2O4:Eu2+0.0125 , Dy3+0.0125 can greatly increase because of Zn2+0.0125-doped; furthermore, the rate of afterglow decay of SrAl2O4:Eu2+0.0125 , Dy3+0.0125, Zn 2+ 0.0125 is obviously slower than that of SrAl2O4:Eu2+0.0125 , Dy3+0.0125 , Result of XRD indicates that a little rare-earth ion-doped can not change crystalline structure of substance (SrAl2O4). Moreover, results of TEM and particle size distribution indicate that shapes of products are loose and porous solid that likes mushroom cloud, and the particle size is about 10 μm.
