Study on Microbial Coal Desulphurization by Ferrobacillus Ferrooxidans

ZhaoYuchao,ZhouZhongping,HaoJimin(Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering,Tsinghua University,Beijing 100084)  
Several experiments in different conditions were carried out for microbial coal desulphurization by Ferrobacillus ferrooxidans.The results showed that the removal of sulphur reached 50.5% after 10 days and 88% after 20 days,where the inoculation was 3×10 -6 /ml,and the pulverized coal granularity was 200,and the coal water fluid concentration was 15%.The sulfantant Tween 80 and alkaline CaCO 3 led to the removal of sulphur decreasing,whereas Thiobacillus thiooxidans had the coordination with Ferrobacillus ferrooxidans.
