Research and Design of Location Service for Urban Vehicular Ad Hoc Network

The urban vehicular Ad Hoc network has many features such as driven-slowly vehicular and many stopped vehicular when vehicular travels to the intersections.Taking the aforementioned features into account when designing the location service,we proposed a general design of location services for urban vehicular Ad Hoc networks,which was integrated into geographic routing protocols such as stateless routing GPSR.We implemented the location service under network simulation platform NS2 and provided an extensive simulation in a wide of urban scenarios.Simulation results show that ILSV(Intersection Location Service for VANET) achieves good results in terms of query success ratios and remarkable scalability compared with GLS and HLS.
