3D Numerical Stimulation Analysis on Caverns Foundation in NanCheng Tunnel of ChongQing ChangJiang River Bridge

This article conducted qualitative analysis and 2D,3D numerical simulation analysis on Caverns foundation in NanCheng tunnel of ChongQing ChangJiang River Bridge. In numerical analysis,the author used the loading coefficient method to apply rock dead load and multiplier standard building load to tunnel caverns and tunnel linings,and then compared the result. Comprehensive analysis result indicated that the high-rise building construction would not influence the stability of tunnel caverns,and the conventional design method could be used in high-rise building. Also,this article proposed some limitations and suggestions for construction and monitoring.
