Preparation of Lectin from Kidney Bean

The local species of kidney bean in Chongqing is used as the original material. Through ultra-centrifuge and salting out with ammonium salt processes etc. , an active substance is obtained. Upon identification. this active substance has the characteristics of Lectin already known. It has the ability of coagulating ery-throcyte and promoting the stimulating trans formation of lymphocyte and considerably high activity.
