EOR Experimental Study by Gas Injection in Strong Water Sensitive Reservoir

The development of strong water sensitive oil reservoir has been a problem.There are a series of trouble in development of strong water sensitive oil reservoir by water flooding,such as difficult water injection and reservoir damage.Gas flooding in water sensitive oil reservoir has many advantages,on the one hand,it can increase oil production and protect the reservoir;on the other hand,the emission of greenhouse gas will be reduce.The result of slim-tube experiment shows that CO2 can be miscible with reservoir oil at formation pressure,same as the LPG slug and natural gas.The result of long core experiment shows that water flooding result in core permeability plugging and water can’t be injected in the end,but the gas flooding don’t exit this problem and has outstanding performance in oil production.
