Expression of English Abstract Nouns and Its Translation

Language and thought influence each other,and English has its own characteristic way of thinking-abstraction,shown in the wide use of abstract nouns in all kinds of writing.The expression of abstract nouns,mainly used in formal or scientific writing,is analyzed and different methods of Chinese translation of such abstract nouns are presented in this paper.
