Method of detecting tissue engineering skin viability

Objective To introduce a quick,convenient,sensitive and precise method of detecting tissue engineering skin viability.Methods Use two nucleic acid dyes,SYTO 13 and Ethidium bromide to stain the preserved tissue engineering skin,then detect with fluorescence-activated cell sorting and fluorescence microscope.Results Preserved in 4℃ condition,the viability of the epidermis of the tissue engineering skin remained 62.46% and the viability of the dermis of the tissue engineering skin remained 54.21%.Conclusion The SYTO/EB double nucleic acid staining is a quick and precise method of detecting the viability of tissue engineering skin.
