Integration of Workplace and School-based Learning in Higher Vocational Education-in an International Comparative View

This article studies the models of the integration of workplace and school-based learning in German,Australia,America and Japan in terms of school-based vocational education.And suggestions are put forward to guarantee the validity of the integration of workplace and school-based learning in higher vocational institutes.In details,governments should clarify the legal assurance of the integration of workplace and school-based learning,while higher vocational institutes should enhance the relevance of integrating workplace learning into the courses and the capacity to run skills training as well as the responsiveness to the labor market.Meanwhile,higher vocational institutes should collaborate with industries to manage and evaluate the process of learning and working.
