Reactive Power Optimization Based on Global Sequential Quadratic Programming Algorithm

To improve the convergence and accuracy in reactive power optimization,this paper proposed a global sequential quadratic programming(SQP) algorithm to calculate optimum power flow.In the iteration of optimization,the power flow of transmission lines and the angle of voltage are not taken as constant but obtained again from the power flow calculating after every iteration.Simulating in the IEEE30 bus system,the results show that the global sequential quadratic programming algorithm has favorable convergence and accuracy.
