Comparison between interpolating windwed FFT algorithm and wavelet transformer algorithm on the application of power system harmonics detection

Interpolating windowed FFT algorithm and wavelet transformer algorithm are compared theoretically in the application of power system harmonics detection in this paper.The interpolating windowed FFT algorithm can be easy to implement and convenient to use with high precision and many functions,but it needs complex calculation without real-time applicability.Whereas,wavelet transformer analysis can detect fundamental signal with high precision and real-time applicability,but it is difficult to extract the amplitudes and phases of other integer harmonic components,and to construct the mother wavelet with strict frequency division and energy concentration,its detection precision needs to be improved as well.And simulation is carried out,results are satisfied the theory comparison.
