SYSTEMATIC INVESTIGATION ON,PLANT GENE POL YMORPHISM(Ⅱ)MOLECULAR EVOLUTION OF LECTIN GENES

The rate of nucleotide substitutions(Knuc value) have been calculated from several selected leguminous lectins. The results show that there is smaller Knuc value in Viola faba, Lens culinaris, and Pisum sativum than that in Giycine max, Canavalia ensiformis, and Phaseolus vulgaris. Thus, it is determined that the relationship among V. faba,L. culinaris,and P. sativum is nearer,but the relativeness among others is farther. The phylogenetic tree based on Knuc value supports Eagler's systematic patterns in angiosperms.
