Analysis on Transverse Plastic Collapse of Steel Reinforced Concrete Bridge

The deflection caused by a unit horizontal seismic force at the top of the bridge piers is divided into the elastic bending deflection of the bridge piers, the deflection caused by foundation translation and the deflection caused by foundation rotation. Every pier is connected each other by the rigid superstructure so as to establish a plastic collapse analysis mode of transverse seismic performance evaluation for bridges. The article evaluates the safety and seismic capacity of bridge structure under earthquake by means of computing equivalent elastic response of structure inertia force and equivalent seismic acceleration at different limit statuses.
